The Consular officer may ask you different questions from the ones listed here and/or may ask the questions in a different way. Some of the sample questions provided here may not apply to you at all. You must be honest in all your answers. Never lie to an immigration officer or other Government official. Serious consequences attach to fraud and/or misrepresentation. If you don’t know the answer to a question, tell the officer you don’t know the answer. If you don't understand the question, ask the officer to clarify their question. Take your time, be confident, be polite, and provide answers only to the questions asked.
